structure/nurture
installation, 2019

An exploration into definitions of home. How do we attach memories and emotions to physical objects, whether possessions in domestic space or the actual structure and building materials? What does home mean, and how can a more fluid definition be discovered? This installation is both a collection of transcribed domestic memories and a new living space to (temporarily) inhabit. The images hover between actual and imagined, composed of familiar elements in disorienting configurations, encouraging the viewer to perceive both a known past and an evolving present in their accumulation.
